The Maghull East ward by-election will take place on Thursday 21st December 2023 for the council seat vacancies on Maghull Town Council. Maghull has had a town council since the Local Government Act of 1894.
Maghull East Ward is geographically situated in the east of the borough ward of Sudell in Sefton MBC, covering the polling districts of A1, A2 and A3. Data from September 2023 shows that Maghull East Ward has a voting population of approximately 5027 and 2853 properties.
Maghull Town Council is formed as follows - 16 seats in total on the council.
Maghull North Ward (5 seats - polling districts A4 to A6 within the Borough Ward of Sudell),
Maghull South Ward (2 seats - polling district C3 within the Borough Ward of Molyneux),
Maghull East Ward (5 seats - polling districts A1 to A3 within the Borough Ward of Sudell)
Maghull West Ward (4 seats - polling districts B4 to B5 within the Borough Ward of Park)

Polling Information
Polling day is Thursday 21st December and polls will be open from 7am until 10pm. For those residents who vote by post, you should start to receive your ballot papers from around the 8th December. If you don't have a postal vote, but would like one, then you have up until midnight on December 5th to register, visit http://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
