Friends,colleagues and electorate:
Having emerged from the first civilised non-sandwich repast of the last eight days - bar a small plate of fish and chips partaken in a hail storm - I am writing to express my immense gratitude to the legion of folk who played an essential role in the resounding victory in Harington Ward: a 43% share of the vote from a 41% turn-out, giving a majority of nearly 400, firmly re-established the ward as the jewel in the crown of Conservative politics in Sefton.
That would not have been possible without the unfailing support I received from so many dedicated Party supporters near and far, ever since I was adopted as candidate in August 2020. The reconstituted ward committee, masterminding a detailed campaign, has been central to the resultant success, as has the unrelenting moral (and financial) support from Martyn at HQ. To everyone concerned, I send my very grateful thanks.
The biggest thank you however is reserved for the electorate of Harington Ward, who have put their faith in me to represent their interests and those of Formby on Sefton MBC.
