There will be many of us who have enjoyed walking along our coastline during these last 12 months. Sefton has been recognised world wide for its majestic coastline, but Sefton's Labour Council has stood by while our shore line has been washed into the sea. There is £20m available to the council to arrest this decline and restore and develop our coastline. Why have we seen no evidence of planned expenditure of the planning application which was promised in Autumn 2019?
Local residents want to see evidence of major expenditure but they also want some simple, yet vital issues addressed. New litter bins to replace the broken rusty open topped bins. Reinstatement of the cycle pathway, renovation of the public toilets (particularly improved access for the disabled). Opportunities for hospitality and catering for visitors to the district. Trip free paving and improved car parking surfaces.
Better signage, with partcular reference to the coastline heritage and its standing as a place of specific scientific interest. Our dynamic dunescape must be protected.
