The following NHS website shows a vast array of covid data over several months, including figures for individual hospitals around the country.

In case anyone doubts the severity of covid around here, the data for Liverpool University Hospital Trust (Aintree and the Royal), showed that during August 2020 the total number of beds occupied by confirmed covid 19 patients was between 5 and 6.
During January 2021 the number of beds occupied has risen from 195 on 1st January 2021 to an all-time high of 414 on 12th January 2021.
It's data such as this which Sefton's Public Health Officer should be portraying to alert residents to the scale of the problem.
