Maghull Conservative Town Councillors, party supporters and local residents in both Park and Sudell Ward are continuing their campaign to clean-up grot spots across the two wards.
Last weekend saw a grand effort in the Tree view court and Moorhey shops in which the grass was cut, and litter was collected. We were pleased that residents and businesses alike were supportive of this initiative. The next day saw the team tackling Stafford Morton way in which the hedges outside Maghull health centre were trimmed and the litter was collected from around the shops.
Over the next coming months local Conservatives will be aiming to upkeep these areas and tackle new grot-spots that are located.
Maghull Town councillor Tom Hughes says “I’m pleased we’ve received a positive feedback from the community and that we are able to work in conjunction with other volunteer groups in the town. As a local councillor I want to play my part.”
Young Conservative chairman, Matthew Lock says “These areas in the community must be kept clean and tidy. They are often used by our most vulnerable, so it is paramount importance that vegetation is not overgrown, and litter is kept down.”
Local Conservative are passionate about making each town across our constituency a more inviting a pleasant place to live and that starts with clean-up campaigns like this. We invite residents to get in touch and recommend grot spots and volunteer if they wish.
