Formby Conservative parish councillor Joe Riley has been selected as candidate to fight the May 2021 MBC seat in Harington Ward, Formby.
Joe has been a home-owner in Harington for 43 years, having previously lived there with his parents for three years.
As Merseyside’s senior time-served journalist, including 35 years on the staff of the Liverpool Echo (for which he still writes as a freelance columnist) Joe has excellent political contacts, both nationally and locally.
His election agenda will include reconstituting the Formby economy; seeking a more proportional return share value of the rates paid by local homes and businesses; further restrictions on inappropriate planning applications, and a resolution to the seasonal parking and traffic flow gridlock. end
