Sefton Central Conservative Association are pleased to announce the formation of Sefton Central Young Conservatives. Our branch, ever growing in numbers, is committed to listening to the issues and concerns that young people have. Some of our younger members have even stood in previous local elections such as Thomas Hughes who stood in Sudell ward both in 2018 and 2019 and we’re pleased to announce his election onto Maghull Town Council.
We encourage our younger members to follow in his footsteps. Across Sefton Central the Young Conservatives will be out campaigning throughout the year; canvassing, leafleting and surveying local residents as only the Conservatives can provide the real opposition in Sefton.
Party members under the age of 25 have become increasingly vocal in recent years and it is imperative that Conservatives keep pushing an agenda that appeals to the wishes of the wider community of young voters.
Our new Sefton Central Young Conservatives Chairman Thomas Hughes said: “I’m pleased that more young people are committed to volunteering and helping the communities within Sefton Central. Electing more Conservative councillors protects and improves local services that local people rely on, whilst keeping their council tax low.”
