Maghull & Lydiate Conservatives
For the previous four years the Labour Party enjoyed a monopoly on Maghull Town Council holding all 16 council seats. However, after the May local elections two Conservatives were elected to Maghull Town Council (unopposed), Thomas Hughes (Maghull East) and Kenneth Hughes (Maghull West). For the past two years Thomas and Kenneth have also been the Sefton Borough candidates for Park and Sudell wards respectively.
We strive to provide a real opposition in our town and aim to work together with local residents, irrespective of their political beliefs, to deliver what is best for Maghull.
The local Conservative Association also fielded candidates in every ward in Lydiate Parish Council and we shall endeavor to ensure that local residents across the East Parishes always have a Conservative candidate to vote for at all elections, whether they be Parish, Town, Borough or National.
Town Councillors Thomas Hughes and Kenneth Hughes have lived in Maghull for over 20 years and are keen to help improve local parks, keep council precepts down and work with charitable organisations.
