NHS Investment in GP Health Services
NHS England has announced this week plans to recruit 20,000 more staff to help GPS practices to work together as part of a local "primary care network". The new recruits - pharmacists, physios, paramedics, physician associates and social prescribing support workers - will free up GPs to spend more time with patients who need them most, as well as ensuring patients have access to a wide range of services at their local practice.
Local Conservatives welcome this £1.799bn investment to improve front-line health services for our residents.
This opportunity reinforces the need for a new purpose-built health centre in Crosby Village. In order to make this happen we would urge Sefton Council to work with South Sefton CCG, NHS England, landowners in the Village and the local community.
We now have a Village where our pets can receive health treatment in a purpose built clinic. It is now time that our local residents received the same opportunity for their health care.
