The Conservative-led Government has approved plans for a new £237m Alder Hey children's hospital in West Derby, Liverpool.
The new hospital will be built in Springfield Park, adjacent to the current site. After completion, the existing buidlings will be demolished and will be transformed into new parkland.
The new building will have around 270 beds for patients, including 48 beds for critical care.
The newly designed buidling will help Alder Hey to preserve it's world renowned reputation for patient care. For children and families across Merseyside, the UK and indeed the world, this new hospital will bring huge benefits to service users.
