It’s a known fact nationwide that public safety and home security is less secure under Labour, who recently voted against increases in sentencing for serious crime and anti-social behaviour.
This is why Conservatives are fighting to secure the re-opening of Formby police station.
At present, the nearest permanent police bases are in Southport and Bootle. This is far too distant to deal with any local outbreaks of lawlessness as they arise in housing areas, on the beach, in parks, or at railway stations.
Constant pressure is the only way to rectify such situations,particularly during the summer months with the influx of thousands of day-trippers.
