Labour controlled Sefton MBC have an appalling record when it comes to the libraries in our Borough.
In 2013 they shut down Ainsdale, Aintree, Birkdale, Churchtown, Carnegie, Litherland & Orrell, saving a pittance, but removing community hubs, especially for the elderly.
We've been told for years by the Socialist Council in Sefton that they have plans for Carnegie library in Crosby. Really?? Then why has it been empty for 10 years and rotting both internally and externally.
The Labour council state they have shelved plans to demolish Crosby Library and Civic Hall, but we believe this is a delaying tactic until after the elections next May.
Don't believe a word the Labour Council says on libraries.
