In March 2023, the Conservative Government announced funding to local authorities for Phase 2 of the Home Upgrade Grant.
This amounted to £10,350,000 for the Liverpool City Region, which includes Sefton.
The government has advised that:
“Eligible homes who can receive support:
• are low income
• are off the gas grid
• have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) between D and G
• live in one of the local authority areas listed
If you meet these criteria, you can contact your local authority for the next steps.”
Unfortunately, our Sefton Labour Council have not realised that this grant is available for their residents and there is no reference to it on their website.
Funding from the Conservative Government is available to help Sefton residents with their energy bills. Why have our Labour Councillors deprived our residents of this money?
