Formby residents have invested their life savings in buying homes in the area. The town is renowned for its many fine gardens.
But many open spaces are neglected.
That is why the Conservative’s volunteer Land Army are to be regularly seen tidying up, and even replanting, at sites throughout the town.
These include the village memorial garden, the postal sorting office frontage, and the large area in front of Harington Road shops.
Without this public-spirited action such places would quickly deteriorate to become blots on the landscape.
Conservatives are also asking Sefton Council to power wash and spruce up the village pavements, restoring them to their original colouring.
